Investing in Local Scholars
Founded in 1992 the Together We Can Scholarship is a partnership between the City of Chattanooga, The Community Foundation, Hamilton County Public Schools and our valued supporters.
This scholarship provides eligible first generation college students who live in the City of Chattanooga with the opportunity to make their college goals and dreams a reality. Since its inception over 1,000 students have received the Together We Can Scholarship.
Together We Can Information
Residency Requirement: City of Chattanooga resident
School Requirement: Any Hamilton County Public School
Education requirement: Graduating high school senior
GPA minimum: 2.5
College/ Enrollment Requirement after HS graduation: Any regionally accredited, non-proprietary, technical, community or four-year college or university/full-time enrollment applicants must have a demonstrated financial need
Additional Requirements: Must live in the City of Chattanooga
Scholarship Amount: Scholarship amounts range from $1,000-$3,000 per academic year for up to eight semesters. The amount is also contingent upon school choice (two or four year) and whether the school is in-state or out-of-state.
